Our Opportunity
South Yarra Spine & Sports Medicine are excited to commence on a growth journey and are now looking for an experienced Remedial Massage Therapist or Myotherapist with an interest in Pilates to join our team. Commencing on 2-3 days per week initially this position will work alongside our other practitioners to treat a range of clients. We can accommodate either a part time or casual position and have flexibility with preferred days and hours. We are looking for a candidate keen to increase hours as our business grows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver high quality remedial massage/myotherapy/pilates classes with best practice techniques
- Create a safe and relaxed environment where clients feel comfortable
- Accurately document patient’s information from pre-assessment to treatment plans
- Combine soft tissue therapies and exercise prescription as appropriate
- Plan future treatment accordingly in line with client progress and monitoring
- Educate clients about their injury/pain, prevention strategies and self-management techniques
- Refer clients to our other allied health professionals when appropriate
About you
Along with a passion for making a difference with quality healthcare you will have:
- Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy/Myotherapy
- Currently registered with a massage association
- Ability to obtain provider numbers for all health funds
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Great communicator with the ability to ensure client comfort
- Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment with appropriate cross-referrals
- Pilates qualifications/experience desirable
