Joining our team means you'll be part of something that really matters. As our Remote Operations Asset Manager you will responsible for managing the development of generation and distribution asset management plans for 117 remote communities, including leading stakeholder engagement with our Future Generation team and Horizon Power's Asset Services team to transform the future of asset and maintenance standardisation in a complex operating and delivery environment.You will be a motivated self-starter with a solid working knowledge of Horizon Power's regulatory environment and experience delivering power services to remote locations.Your role will include:
- Identify and manage the development of safety, reliability, and climate resilience driven strategies and improvement initiatives encompassed within the Remote Communities Asset Management Plan
- Working alongside our Remote Communities Future Generation team to be informed of generation efficiency and reliability performance inputs required to be included in the annual Remote Communities Asset Management Plan
- Ensure standards are in place to manage the operations of the network assets to an effective and efficient operating regime that delivers reliability and safety whilst providing economic benefits and staying within approved budgets
- Project managing a diverse range of Remote Communities Program “Workstream' projects and initiatives including leading and managing the performance of our statewide Asset Priority Program, incorporating multiple streams of on the ground inspections, testing, reporting and remediation planning
- Support response to emergency events in our regional locations and be available for rostering to support Remote Operations on-call function.
- A Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, suitable professional qualifications and experience is essential.
- At least 5-10 years' experience in an asset management role (or similar)
- Experience in project management
- Experience in power system asset management, maintenance and operational strategies, planning processes and practices
- Experience in safety environmental management and compliance processes
- Experience in the development of quality systems, standards, and procedures
- Extensive knowledge in asset management fundamentals, ideally from an Operational asset management position
- Supporting the regions, in the regions
