As a Policy and Regulation Consultant, this opportunity will allow you to make a difference and impact in supporting clients with a technical understanding of Policy and Regulation and help enable clients to achieve measurable results and sustainability goals. You will work with energy companies, policy makers, regulators, investors, developers and investors. Be part of a team who are actively implementing change and shaping the electricity market. You will be part of an independent consultancy who are willing to bring their own point of view and support clients in delivering desired outcomes. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Advising stakeholders on the wholesale market, costs and benefits, Retailer Reliability Obligation and incentivise dispatchable capacity.
Competition in the wholesale market and how to improve the workability of competition in the market.
Regulated retail tariffs and potential implications.
Ways to better integrate distributed energy resources.
YOU WILL HAVE:
1-3 years’ experience working with market bodies, government, regulators, government agencies and market participants.
Previous experience advising electricity sector policies.
Passionate about making a difference and helping clients address the challenges of the electricity sector.
Relevant stakeholder management experience.
Policy experience in NEM and the whole sale market.
Previous consultancy experience is desirable.
Analytical skills, qualitative and quantitative experience and articulate advice delivery effectively to clients.
Brilliant communication and presentation skills and a collaborative team player.
