THE ROLE
Lead the way on a ground-breaking once-in-a-generation Renewable Energy project covering 20,000 KM throughout central NSW with our Power Projects Team. As an accomplished Senior Project Manager, utilise your skills and experience and guide the dedicated delivery teams, ensuring that the construction of clean energy infrastructure projects is delivered safely, cost-effectively, and with high quality that meets our client's requirements, KPIs, financial targets within the framework of Downer's delivery model.
Reporting to the Program Manager, you will work closely with a team of construction managers, project engineers, crew leaders, technical staff, and support staff to efficiently deliver projects.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Guide and coach others to promote a Zero-Harm culture proactively and visibly.
- Responsible for implementing and contributing to developing project delivery plans to manage and control projects.
- Provide leadership & direction to achieve project objectives (includes standards and procedures and provide advice regarding technical issues)
- Manage projects in accordance with the Downer Project Management Delivery model.
- Support the estimating team to ensure robust tender inputs and provide support through Downer Governance reviews to ensure best practice estimating.
ABOUT YOU
- You must possess a trade or engineering (electrical or similar) qualification and/or a Diploma in Project Management. Additionally, you must possess experience delivering electrical utility projects.
- High proficiency with computers and relevant software.
- Superior communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders and up and downstream.
