Brunel is working closely with a leading, integrated energy retailer who are looking for a senior manager to join their power development team. This role can be based in any east-coast office with flexible working options. With ambitious targets for 2030 and 2035 into the GWs for their Renewable Energy porfolio this role will be key in end to end development as well as building the capabilities of the development team by training and mentoring the more juior memebers.
The senior manager role requires a thorough undertsanding of the project development lifecycle and how to bring Renewable Energy projects from concept or early stage development through to FID delivery. Utilising the internal SMEs throughout the process as well as managing external consultancies and advisories to build a strong business case to present to the investment team.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both originating projects either from concept or through the acquisitions team and be able to bring projects successfully through stage gates to FID decision. The client is open to candidates who are strong in either origination or closing as well.
What you need to bring:- Experience in originating utility-scale Renewable Energy assets through to FID delivery.
- Candidates with Wind farm experience are preffered but other tehcnologies wil be considered.
- Very strong understanding of project development life cycle.
- Previous experience developing business cases for investment decision and presenting to executive and board level.
- Ability to train and mentor junior and senior staff.
- Ability to travel when required.
- Strong negotiation skills and stakeholder management.
- With a strong customer base this role will be rewarding in seeing projects go through the full lifecylce into operation.
