About the Role

We are looking for a creative, driven doer to create content for multiple platforms to engage local and national audiences. Reporting to the Editor Mt Isa, the role will involve:

• Creating accurate, concise and clear digital news content.
• Delivering digital news content across multiple online platforms.
• Delivering original stories with impact, to achieve strong reach and engagement with audiences. 
• Contributing to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan. 

About You

You are a highly motivated reporter with a strong knowledge of local and national news issues. Your skills and experience include:

• Creative digital storytelling ability.
• Sound editorial skills and judgment.
• Strong understanding of the issues that affect and interest the diverse local audience.
