Futura Group ANZ Pty Ltd is an NDIS disability support service with a difference. We offer a range of support services to individuals who are part of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and their families.
We are currently looking to take on a full-time Specialist Support Coordinator for our participants to support them with in-home support, servicing the Greater Metropolitan Melbourne and surrounding areas.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The NDIS Workforce Capability Framework describes this role as part of Additional Capabilities for services funded under the NDIS and applies to NDIS Support Coordinators. The Support Coordinator plays an important part in safeguarding a participant's well-being.
The Support Coordinator has a responsibility to:
• Addressing any concerns or issues raised by participants regarding the quality and safety of their supports and services.
•Ensuring participant well-being.
• Assisting participants in optimizing their funded supports by helping them understand their plan's scope and available resources.
• Act as an advocate for participants, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected.
The Support Coordinator must possess the following qualifications, licenses, and/or certificates:
• Current First Aid Level 2 Certificate
• Current CPR (annual)
• Current National Police Check (less than 6 months old or evidence of application)
• Current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) or evidence of application
• Current NDIS Worker Screening or evidence of application
• Evidence of Right to Work in Australia
• Current 100 points of Identification (we cannot accept expired IDs)
• Current Australian Driver’s License
• Tax File Number
• NEW NDIS Worker Induction Module certificate
• DSC – Supporting People to Stay Infection-Free (COVID-19) certificate
