Situated in Sydney's CBD, inside a newly built state-of-the-art corporate building, our venue provides event spaces for corporate dinners, conferences, cocktail parties, awards and gala occasions, and private celebrations. All areas will be activated during business hours, and the event space will extend to operate during evenings and weekends.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Reservations Team Leader to oversee our Reservations Team in booking spaces within the building for our internal client. This full-time role involves coordinating day-to-day bookings and reservations, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining up-to-date booking systems. The Reservations Team Leader will also play a key role in managing and motivating the team to achieve high performance.
Main duties include:
- Leadership: Manage and lead a team of reservations coordinators and administrators, ensuring efficient and effective reservation processes and maintaining the highest level of customer service.
- Coordination: Oversee and coordinate all bookings for the building, including small and large events. Managing reservations inboxes and phone communications, ensuring timely responses to clients.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients, maintain strong communication with the catering team, and ensure a smooth transition of events from reservation to catering.
- Client Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with our internal clients. Manage client expectations and advise on options within budgetary constraints.
Skills & experience required:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proven experience in a reservations or customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on exceeding client expectations.
- Proficiency in reservation and event management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
