About the opportunity
Monopoly Homes is seeking a skilled and experienced residential Construction Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction of custom low rise residential buildings from inception to completion. This position requires strong management skills including the ability to interpret architectural plans, structural engineering plans, specifications and a commitment to delivering projects on time within budget to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Interpreting architectural plans, structural engineering plans, specifications and understanding the project requirements and scope.
• Project documentation analysing and checking.
• Collaborating with architects, structural engineers and other technical professionals to ensure timely completion of the projects.
• Conducting weekly site inspections & progress meetings with Site Supervisors.
• Creating weekly site update reports for planning & discussions.
• Providing mentorship to site supervisors and overseeing construction activities, ensuring jobs are being built to project documentation.
• Managing project timelines and monitoring progress against key milestones.
• Problem solving throughout the entire project, finding and offering the most effective solutions, yet being able to maintain quality projects throughout.
• Assisting your team to conduct and complete all critical inspections to ensure quality homes are built.
• Maintaining and expanding our supplier and tradie network and building long term business relationships.
• Promote safe work protocols and ensure construction is carried out safely in accordance with OH&S and company processes.
• Approving PO’s, Quotations and Warranty Reporting.
• Provide development, implementation and improvement of construction processes, procedures and systems.
   

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma of Building or Project Management Advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years Construction Management experience with proven site experience managing residential custom homes.
• Strong people skills and the ability to coordinate multiple project sites and site supervisors to complete homes expediently.
• The ability to interpret architectural plans, structural engineering plans, specifications and understand project requirements and scope.
• Experience in MS Office Products and Construction Management/Project Management Software.
• Sound understanding of NCC, Australian Standards, Acts & Codes of Practice. 
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire your team to achieve excellence.
• Excellent management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods and applications.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• An eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A positive can-do attitude with excellent time management skills.
