If you're a hands-on, down-to-earth front of house superstar looking to help run operations at our premium steakhouse and smokehouse in the CBD … then we want you as our next Restaurant Assistant Manager.
At Meatmaiden, classic American grill and smoker dishes are reimagined and twisted. We're a 10-year established, busy and fun basement restaurant and bar with a strong following and a great team.
You'll work with some of Australia's best local produce and your meat, wine, beer and cocktail knowledge will become first class.
You'll be running shifts and leading by example to ensure the highest standards of customer service. You'll be passionate about great food and beverage and have the ability to connect with our guests on what makes Meatmaiden so friendly, unique and special.
Your main key tasks will be:
- Staff training and supervision
- Maintaining menu product knowledge
- Handling guest relations
- Overseeing staff rostering on Deputy
- Enforcing venue opening and closing systems
- Handling cash, cash up, owner reports
You must have:
- At least one to two years of experience in a similar role
- An up-to-date RSA
- Great POS and payment knowledge [ we use IMPOS and Tyro ]
- Full availability [ nights and Saturdays ]
- Proven success in a management role
- Valid visa to work in Australia
- Strong wine knowledge

- Bar and cocktail knowledge
- First Aid qualification
- Functions and events experience
