Tomiko Japanese Steakhouse have an excellent opportunity for a fulltime Restaurant Manager to join our team.
About the Role
We're looking for a seasoned professional who’s passionate about dining but also understands the importance of creating an accessible, vibrant space that welcomes all guests, offering a blend of exceptional cuisine and a warm, engaging environment. You'll manage all aspects of our restaurant, including lunch, dinner, high-tea, functions, special events, and à la carte services. With a team of 15+ staff, you'll lead, develop, and engage them to ensure exceptional service and a lively atmosphere.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Assist chefs in creating menus that fit the customers needs
- Assist in the creation and execution of special events and functions
- Work to a budget including ordering and stocktaking
- Maintain financials and reporting
- Ensure the venue operates in a safe and remains in clean & tidy whilst complying with health and safety standards
- Responsible for hiring, training and forwards planning of staff.
- Rostering and keeping costs in line with budget
- Liaise and build relationships with customers, taking on feedback and ensuring best experience is delivered
- Actively be a key member of the team from taking reservations to seating and serving tables
