Yum Cha is fully licensed and open 7 days per week in addition to functions as required.
This is a great opportunity for a customer driven, sales focused and experienced leader to join our established management team.
The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing all front and back-of-house restaurant operations, including:
- Liaising closely with the Director / Business Owner to monitor performance and build good reputation;
- Liaising with the Executive Chef in regard to menu planning;
- Planning and organizing functions to suit customer needs;
- Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget and supplier agreements;
- Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions;
- Ensure that the Restaurant is adequately staffed part-time, full-time and casuals;
- Provide supervision and support to staff and undertake staff training;
- Ensure all kitchen staff have food handling certificate and are trained otherwise as required;
- Ensure a professional level of customer service is delivered by all staff at all times;
- Ensure that Restaurant area is clean throughout the day and meet health & safety requirements including quarterly risk assessments
Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to learn quickly
- Strong customer interaction skills with the ability to provide customers with personable, friendly and knowledgeable service
- A vibrant personality and attention to detail
- Bilingual preferred (Mandarin or Cantonese)
