Wilga Hotel Narrabri has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join the team. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Narrabri, NSW.

Wilga Hotel is a newly renovated establishment that offers a home-style pub environment, complete with a restaurant, sports bar, beer garden, and refurbished ensuite rooms. We take pride in delivering warm and knowledgeable service, creating an incredible ambiance, and providing a magical experience for every guest. We are seeking a Restaurant Manager to oversee and enhance the operations of our restaurant.
About the Role
The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for the following duties:
- Coordinating & ensuring efficient management of day-to-day operations of the restaurant
- Supervising and managing staff which includes hiring, training, scheduling, and managing the performance of all restaurant employees
- Reviewing & planning menu including specials with Chef & Management staff by ensuring pricing, presentation & menu changes are communicated to team members in advance
- Delivering superior food & beverage service and maximising customer service standards
- Managing inventory and supplies & ordering them in a timely fashion, to ensure that they are used efficiently
- Regularly reviewing product quality and researching new vendors, in addition to estimating future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
- Ensuring the restaurant is clean and strictly complies with health and safety regulations
- Creating a budget for the restaurant and making sure that expenses are in line with revenue
- Handling customer complaints and ensuring that all customers leave satisfied
Skills & Experience – Who we’re looking for:
For this position, it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications/work experience:
- Minimum Diploma qualification in Hospitality or similar field OR at least 3 years of relevant work experience in lieu of qualifications;
- At least 2 years of experience in managing venues of a similar calibre;
- Able to efficiently manage multiple tasks within the demanding pace of a restaurant environment while upholding quality standards;
- Possess strong problem-solving skills to swiftly address and resolve various challenges, be it handling customer complaints, addressing kitchen mishaps, or managing staffing issues.
