The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated hospitality professional to join our Resources Catering Leadership team as a Food and Beverage Manager on a fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) basis, flying from PerthAirport to our 2000+ person camp in regional Western Australia.

  • 4/3, 5/2, 8/6 (days) FIFO roster.
  • $150,000 + superannuation.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Key Account Manager, you will bring your catering leadership skills and ability to motivate your team to assist in the catering, tavern and retail operations within the Village. The goal is to exceed customer expectations by delivering a healthy, delicious and innovative offering, whilst being in line with contractual requirements.  Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage F&B operations - ensuring they deliver innovative, safe, dynamic, premium quality Food and Beverage services in line with contractual and budgeted obligations, key performance indicators (KPI) and evolving resident expectations.
  • Ensure the cost-effective management, high quality/premium production and delivery of F&B products and services across the contract scope of works and variations
  • Ensure the highest standards in regard to food safety and quality xxx
  • Leverage global insights to ensure contemporary, customer-focused, convenient and sustainable food services are safely delivered throughout the life of the contract.

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to effectively lead the operations team in the Tavern, Retail, Kitchen and Dining room,  
  • Food service management experience - minimum of 2 years in charge of a commercial kitchen.
  • Trade Qualified in Hospitality or relevant tertiary education.
  • Strong food safety management knowledge and experience. 
  • Ability to drive the Safety Culture at site; initiating and implementing project ideas to drive commitment to safety throughout your departments.
  • Industry leading knowledge of food trends and innovative concepts, both in and about to enter the marketplace – E&R sector requires understanding of dietetics, food services and processes.
  • Project Management and Change Management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in costing, menu development and systems that support food services.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders and customers
  • Approved Manager Licence or ability to obtain one.
  • Attention to detail and ability to thrive under pressure while juggling multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional Customer Service and Leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated, structured, systematic and collaborative.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in addition to proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Word & Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgetary labour and spend.
  • Ability to exceed client expectations in food quality and food safety adherence.
  • Able to work a flexible FIFO roster from Perth Airport.
  • Police Clearance or willing to obtain one and medically fit to pass pre-employment medical.
