Form of work Little Bird is a locally owned and operated café located in the heart of Barton. Little Bird provides a fresh and delicious menu for both dine-in and takeaway. Our meals are made daily with local and seasonal ingredients.
We are currently looking for a competent and qualified Restaurant Manager who will be responsible for the overall running of the business, leading by example and maintaining high standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Overseeing the daily operations of the cafe, including food preparation, customer service, and sales.
* Developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.
* Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records of stock.
* Hiring, training, and scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage during busy periods.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.
* Handling customer complaints and resolving any issues that arise in a timely and professional manner.
* Managing the cafe's budget to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
* Staying up to date with industry trends and developments to ensure the cafe remains competitive in the market.
* Creating and updating menus, and making decisions about pricing and promotions.
* Building relationships with local suppliers and vendors to ensure access to quality ingredients and supplies.
Requirements:
* Previous managerial role/experience in a restaurant/café setting
* Be able to work independently
* Experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment
* Great presentation and customer service skills
* Willingness to be part of an enthusiastic and motivated team
* Willingness to jump into any task required, cleaning, food preparation and customer service
* Strong awareness of Hygiene & Food Safety Standards
* Must always be well presented, have a great work ethic and the ability to perform well underpressure
* A Positive can-do attitude and the ability to work nights & weekends
Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year
