Job Description

What you will be doing:

• Assist the Food & Beverage Manager to build and develop a high performing team by leading and mentoring with a collaborative, motivational and empowering approach.
• Work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage manager and Sommelier in purchasing, stock control and management.
• Lead and supervise Food & Beverage service within the restaurant and bar, to ensure service standards are followed.
• Delivering high-end service and running the operations during busy service periods.
• Assisting with rostering, team development & the overall co-ordination of the department.
• Handling guest concerns and reacting quickly to guarantee memorable moments for our guests.
• Delivering established service sequences whilst bringing your personalised flair and industry experience to each diner.
• Maintaining product knowledge of menus and beverage lists.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar role, within high-end dining operations.
• Strong service skills, with confidence in all aspects of service.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities, with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Availability across a variety of shifts, including lunch and dinner service periods, across week day, weekends and public holidays.
• Valid South Australian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
• Full Australian working rights.
• A true love and passion for food, beverage and creating genuine memorable guest experiences.
• Guest and quality orientated.
• A commitment to undertake growth and development within the Sofitel brand.
• Has the attitude and willingness to undertake further development with Sofitel.
