The Role
An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Hospitality Superstar to lead our small but dedicated food and beverage team in our busy Hotel.
We are looking for a professional Restaurant Manager to be responsible for managing the front of house team and for delivering an excellent guest experience.
Food and Beverage operations include on site Restaurant delivering breakfast, lunch, evening and room service dining options, and Café, trading hours are from7 am to 9pm 7 days per week.
We are seeking the right person to help transform our current F&B offering into something exciting and new for in-house guests and locals.
The successful candidate will be able to maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
This is a hands – on role in which you will lead by example to:
- Manage the restaurant's day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
- Work closely with Head Chef and kitchen team to develop and maintain an inclusive and productive workplace culture
- Identify customers’ needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
- Lead F&B team by training and appraising talented personnel
- Establish targets, KPI’s, schedules, policies and procedures
- Provide two-way communication between the F&B team and other teams and departments within the hotel complex
- Nurture an environment with emphasis in motivation and teamwork
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Minimum 2 years management experience required
- Proven food and beverage management knowledge and experience
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Mastery in delegating multiple tasks
- Communication and leadership skills
- Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
- Merri Chef operational experience an advantage
- Ability to manage personnel and meet agreed financial targets
- Guest-oriented and service-minded
Full-time
Salary $70 - $80k + super commensurate with experience
