POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Cafe and Restaurant Manager will oversee the daily operations of our establishment, ensuring that our standards of quality and service are maintained and that our customers enjoy an exceptional dining experience. This role involves managing staff, overseeing inventory and supplies, handling customer inquiries and complaints, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and motivate the team to achieve excellent customer service standards.
Manage daily operations, including scheduling, staff training, and supervision.
Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stocking of supplies.
Ensure all food and beverages are prepared and served in accordance with our quality standards.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
Implement and maintain hygiene and safety protocols in line with regulations.
Manage financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
Develop and implement strategies to improve service, drive sales, and increase profitability.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan and develop menu offerings.
Monitor and manage operational costs to maintain budgetary goals.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents encouraged to apply.
Minimum Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a Cafe or Restaurant Manager or similar role in the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Financial management and budgeting skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
