About the role:-
We are hiring an experienced Retirement Village Manager for our beautiful Tea Gardens Village on the Central Coast.
The primary purpose of this position is to effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the village, ensure compliance with the Retirement Villages Act is maintained and actively contribute to a positive sales environment.
As the onsite Village Manager you will oversee the operational teams and together you will be responsible for ensuring the security and the excellent presentation of the village is maintained along with managing the day-to-day operations including maintaining the property and faculties gardens and lawns, shared facilities onsite and general residency management. You will assist in sales tours from time to time and engaging in the community events.
Responsibilities:-
- Have an excellent understanding and legislative compliance with the Retirement Village Act 1999 (NSW);
- Management of the day to day operations of the village, including presentation, resident enquiries, general maintenance, cleanliness, meals, transport and security;
- Oversee the grounds, maintenance, and cleanliness of the resort is upkept;
- Ensure standard policies and procedures are applied for the office, resident inductions and handovers; Maintain an Operations manual, including general duties, contacts, events and all information regarding the day to day running of the village;
- Liaise with construction and sales, ensuring smooth resident handovers and fostering cooperation between all area, and participate in events;
- Train and supervise staff, and coordinate rostering;
- Oversee contractors, ensuring inductions & insurances in place and managing any risk;
- Welcome and manage new residents, ensuring all requirements relating to site fees, village rules, Service Agreements, direct debits, safety inductions etc are fulfilled;
- Provide assistance to residents as required, and respond to emergency incidents including dispute resolution;
Ideally you will have:-
- Knowledge of Retirement Village Act, Work Health & Safety Act, and other legislative requirements relating to the operation of the village;
- Prior experience in a similar role - either village caretaking, real estate or resort based roles will be looked upon favorably;
- Excellent computer/administration skills;
- Experience in managing varies levels of skilled staff;
- Experience with resort/village grade cleaning and facilities management;
- Must hold a current First Aid certificate;
- Must hold a current C class licence;
- Must have Food handling certificate or willing to obtain;
- Must hold a Constuction White Card or willing to obtain;
- A hands on approach and enthusiastic attitude;
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with all stakeholders;
- Problem solving and time management skills including the ability to manage conflicting priorities, meet tight deadlines and maintaining quality;
- A positive attitude.
- Ability to perform effectively as part of a team.
