Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Coordinator for Return to Work andSafety Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of Return to Work and Workers' compensation processes and supporting the OHS Team within our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Return to Work plans for injured employees.
- Coordinate with medical professionals, employees, and management to ensure effective rehabilitation and Return to Work strategies.
- Manage workers' compensation claims, including lodging claims, tracking progress, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- Provide advice and support to employees and managers on workers' compensation and Return to Work matters.
- Conduct workplace assessments and recommend modifications to facilitate safe and sustainable Return to Work.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all cases and activities.
- Liaise with insurers, medical practitioners, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and effective case management.
- Monitor and report on the status of return-to-work programs and Workers' compensation claims.
- Stay up to date with changes in legislation and industry best practices related to Workers' compensation and Return to Work.
- Working on Safety Related documents like SWMS, SOP’s & Procedures
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a large organisation.
- Strong knowledge of Australian workers' compensation legislation and Return to Work processes.
- Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritise tasks effectively.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for case management and reporting.
- Ability to Work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including employees, medical professionals, and insurers.
- Relevant qualifications as in Cert IV in Work Health Safety or similar qualifications and human resources, or a related field.
