About the Role
If you are passionate about Health and Safety and are eager to use your knowledge and skill set to lead project safety initiatives, then you could be the perfect person for this role.
You will join a highly supportive and professional team who will assist you in reaching the OH&S goals of our company.
With the support of company management, you will work with project site teams to improve on and manage Health & Safety within our business.
You will champion health and safety across each stage of the project from the planning, the execution and through to the completion phase, ensuring we not only meet and follow the OHS legislative requirements but exceed and lead with innovation from start to finish as we uphold our commitment to safety.
Qualifications and experience
Mandatory:
To be considered for this role you must have construction industry experience in the health and safety sector specifically in managing ‘Safe systems of work’, ‘Return to Work’ and ‘Incident Reporting.’ Furthermore, a preference for an individual who is comfortable visiting our project sites and carrying out safety checks to ensure project teams are fulfilling their obligations in maintaining a safe working environment.
You will have strong communication skills and a full understanding of implementing safe systems of work including;
- Risk Assessments
- SWMS
- Plant and Equipment safety Knowledge
- MSDS
- Sound knowledge of OHS Regulations, Worksafe Compliance Codes and the OHS ACT
Desirable:
- Computer literate
- Works well with others while being a self-starting motivated individual
- Ability to motivate others in all safety aspects
- Mental health awareness training
- Comfortable speaking in front of large groups
- TRIFR and safety statistics analysis, reporting and keeping up to date.
- Experience in undergoing both internal and external safety audits.
- Review of safety policies and procedures, ensuring these are kept up to date and are aligned with our clients’ expectations.
