Your new company
This is an opportunity for an experienced Revenue and Property Officer to join a Local Government department on a 5-month temporary placement with the possibility of extension.
Your new role
Working both within a team and autonomously.
- Updating rates and files prior to levy processing. This could include importing new costs, compiling adjustments, processing approved journals and refunds
- Undertake reporting and reconciliation
- Updating rates adjustments
- Process monthly recollections
- Review and update property valuations
- Liaise with other departments, including Customer Service
- Coordinate, collaborate and liaise with external service providers
What you'll need to succeed
Demonstrated experience and understanding of local government, why there is a requirement for levying of rates, charges and property administration
- The ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Profficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills with internal and external Stakeholders
- High attention to detail
- Customer service skills
