Job description

About the College

Hillcrest Christian College is a private, interdenominational, co-educational, day school with approximately 2,000 students (Pre-Kindy to Year 12) located on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Catering for both domestic, virtual and international students across 2 contemporary campuses positioned on 10 hectares of natural bushland, Hillcrest Christian College aspires to deliver a world leading, future-focused educational experience, underpinned by a biblical world view.

Hillcrest has been on an exciting journey of growth, innovation and change in recent years, as we reimagine 21st Century education, while upholding the core values envisioned by our founders in 1982.

As one of the top 100 innovative schools as selected by Cambridge University, we are seeking dedicated and passionate staff to join our team who are committed to sharing the love of Jesus with our wider community.

The Rise Program

In the heart of Coolangatta on the Gold Coast, the Rise Program ignites the potential within Year 9 students, fostering a transformative journey of self-discovery, community engagement, and entrepreneurial thinking. Our mission is to cultivate a positive and caring environment that supports our young leaders to actively shape their own learning path and focus on their personal interests and strengths.

We believe that true leadership extends beyond personal growth—it involves giving back to the community that nurtures us. As part of the Rise Program, students engage in meaningful service projects that directly impact our local community. Whether it’s volunteering at local shelters, organising environmental clean-ups, or supporting community events, our rising leaders learn the value of empathy, compassion, and active citizenship.

Furthermore, our strategic partnerships with Southern Cross University (SCU) and the Coolangatta Surf Club enhance the program’s impact. SCU provides opportunities for academic enrichment that few students experience during Year 9, while the Coolangatta Surf Club offers unique opportunities for water safety training, and community engagement.

Through a dynamic blend of student choice, teamwork, and real-world impact, we equip our students with the skills, mindset, and passion needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. Together, we rise!
