About the role
The purpose of the Home Risk Advisor is to deliver risk advice, insights and support activities/initiatives enabling the Insurance business to make better business decisions. This role works directly with business teams advocating the desired risk culture and improving risk capability and maturity throughout the business. The Risk Advisor supports the delivery of the program of work for Group Risk Management Frameworks, Policies and Standards and provides Risk subject matter expertise and advice when required. The scope of this role covers all Home products managed under the Insurance business.
What you'll do
- Provide risk advice and insights to the business to achieve its operational objectives
- Facilitation of annual, quarterly, and dynamic risk assessments
- Work directly with the business to support incident and breach identification, management and remediation activities
- Identification of risks and issues within the business to ensure we are providing our customers with a high quality, market leading experience
- Contribute to risk reporting with insights and recommendations
- Identification and engagement of regulatory, legislative and compliance specialists when required
What you'll bring
- Relevant degree in Business, Law or related field and ISO 31000: Risk Management training desired
- Minimum five (5) years' appropriate industry experience in Insurance or Financial Services
- Minimum three (3) years' experience within Risk related business area
- Experience and Advanced knowledge in Risk Management Practices and their application in a business environment
- Advanced understanding of the Australian Financial Services Regulatory and Legislative environment including Code of Practice for General Insurance
