As the Risk and Governance Manager, Security of Infrastructure (SOCI) within the Integrated Energy team, you'll be required to support the embedding the SOCI Act compliance obligations, whilst ensuring the plan meets the broader AGL standards, practices, and systems architecture, including compliance with AGL's Risk Management Policy.

What you'll be doing:
Interfacing with the first line business functions by providing advice and insight on strategic and operational risks, driving compliance with the SOCI framework and expert management of diverse stakeholders across the organisation.
Adopting best practice approaches to SOCI risk management, risk transference and compliance, while maintaining a flexible and commercial approach whilst having regard to AGL's overall risk landscape.
Engaging and developing effective working relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders including leadership teams and key business representatives across all levels including the Executive Team.
Becoming a trusted advisor to the business to strengthen risk culture, providing insights on key risks, controls, metrics and trends, be a 'forward thinker' for continuous improvement and efficiency of risk management process.
Facilitating risk workshops and discussions around key strategic initiatives with the business and acting as a subject matter expert by providing advice to the business on how to embed and actively use risk to assist in decision making.
What you'll bring:
Proven experience as a Risk Manager with strong knowledge of risk assessment and control, three lines model, as well as knowledge of the energy industry, key challenges and industry wide risks.
Sound understanding of Risk Management frameworks/practices from working in other large companies (knowledge of ISO 31000) and having a perspective on best practice risk management.
Knowledge of hybrid project management and experience of working with fast paced programs and projects.
Strong focus on ability to deal with change, ambiguity and drive positive outcomes coupled with flexibility and ability to handle a variety of tasks and adjust quickly to priorities and meet changing business needs.
Excellent presentation, communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills as well as demonstrated experience working with stakeholders at all levels of business.
