About the role
The Risk Business Analyst position, reporting to the Group Manager Risk & Compliance, is an exciting new role dedicated to bringing the refreshed Enterprise Risk Management blueprint to life across AEMO’s Divisions. It will involve working with a broad range of stakeholders including risk and compliance functions operating in the business, Divisional leadership and the Executive Leadership Team. The role will provide guidance and support on enterprise risk matters for the Divisions, driving implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management framework and blueprint. This will include including playing a hands-on role in the identification, assessment, and management of risk, and driving a healthy risk culture with the Divisional teams. Responsibilities will be divided across AEMO’s Divisions depending on demand and work priority agreed with GM Risk & Compliance. The role will suit a developing risk professional with excellent collaboration and communication skills, and will provide a fantastic opportunity to further develop their technical, influencing and transformational capabilities.
What you will be doing
- Support and enable AEMO’s Divisions to implement the Group’s enterprise risk management (ERM) requirements, and the risk transformation blueprint.
- Support the GM Risk & Compliance and Risk Business Partners to develop and embed risk appetite for key enterprise risks in the divisions.
- Support the delivery of enterprise risk reporting (Board and executive) and monitoring for enterprise and Divisional risks.
- Support the Divisions to enhance risk ownership, culture, and awareness, in line with group targets and expectations.
- Support the execution of risk and compliance plans to uplift risk maturity aligned with key enterprise risks and compliance priorities. 6. Be an active member of the Risk & Compliance Community of Practice to share information, updates, and insights for improvements to enterprise risk management
What you will bring to the role
- Extensive experience in enterprise and project risk management in medium/large organisations.
- Proven experience of project/portfolio risk management working with EPO/EPMO or equivalent.
- Proven ability to understand risk and compliance issues inherent and emerging in the business.
- Demonstrated strategic communication and interpersonal skills and experience in giving presentations, chairing/facilitating meetings, production of effective written communications such as risk reports for senior leaders.
- A passion for building and sustaining positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
