Your new role
In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of the risk assurance framework. This includes aligning activities with the organisation's Risk Management initiatives and applying a systematic and robust Risk Management system. Your goal will be to effectively reduce risk exposure and manage risk mitigation that impacts the business and operations. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the organisation.
Your key accountabilities include:
- Plan, coordinate, execute and monitor Risk Management assurance policies, frameworks and guidelines to ensure adequacy and relevancy in an agile environment.
- Leading Risk Management assurance programs
- Lead and facilitate the development of risk profiles, engage with all levels including Heads of Departments, evaluate risk profiling programs, utilise risk assessment tools, measure risk profiles against the company’s tolerance limit, stay aware of emerging trends and risk events to identify and monitor principal risk exposures for the success of the business.
- Lead the planning and execution of risk performance management, prepare and develop risk reports, analysing risks and their effects
- Monitor risk triggers and mitigation implementation, institutionalise best practices and operate with a continuous improvement focus.
- Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with key stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a Risk Management position, preferably within the oil and gas or energy sectors
- Strong knowledge of Risk Management tools, methodologies and framework to be able to independently play a leading or co-leading role in the organisation's Risk Management activities.
- Ability to operate in an agile environment with a strategic mindset
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
- A post-graduate degree in Business Management or a relevant field of study would be an added advantage.
