The Opportunity
Exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Risk Specialist to join TelstraSuper Financial Planning (TSFP) Advice Policy and Assurance on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Reporting to the Head of Advice Policy and Assurance, the purpose of this role will be to support the licensee to comply with their core obligations through monitoring, assessing, and evaluating existing and emerging risks in the business by developing and reviewing the controls framework and business unit risk profile.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work in partnership with Line 2 Risk and Compliance on the design and ongoing review of controls framework and TSFP risk profile with a focus on embedding preventive controls.
- Developing, maintaining, and conducting assurance testing of key controls to ensure operational effectiveness and recommending improvements.
- Supporting incident management to ensure all incidents are appropriately investigated, resolved and remediated in a timely manner.
- Providing advice to management on how to decrease risk exposure within the business.
About You
Strong understanding of Financial Planning and the provision of both general and personal advice requirements. Extensive compliance and risk management experience including completing quality assurance activities. An ability to interpret advice obligations and legislative change, (RG277, RG78, RG271 and Info 259 guidelines). Your collaborative spirit, keen attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential for thriving in this role.
Additionally, You Have
- Qualification in Financial Planning or related discipline
- RG146 compliant
- 5+ years’ experience working in a similar Financial Planning - risk management and control frameworks environment.
