About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the position of Road Coach Maintenance Supervisor within our Transwa Division. We are seeking applications from skilled and experienced individuals who have knowledge of Road Coach operations and the maintenance of fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate will undertake technical investigations and vehicle inspections including safety, quality and roadworthiness to ensure compliance with omnibus regulatory requirements. The incumbent will direct and provide technical direction and management of contracted maintenance and cleaning staff to ensure planned and unplanned maintenance occurs to the required standard and will provide an internal and external stakeholder focused approach to dealing with Road Coach related matters.
About You
To be successful in this role you must have:
- A trade certificate in a related discipline or a thorough knowledge of related automotive trades.
- Knowledge of, and experience with, Australian Standards relevant to the Road Coach industry and Australian Design Rules.
- Substantial knowledge of road passenger operations, including an understanding of safey and risk management, particularly as it relates to public transport.
- Well developed people management skills and the ability to nurture and develop teams and individuals.
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership in mechanical or operational environments.
- Well developed written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop stakeholder partnerships, negotiate and establish and maintain reliable networks.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur for up to 12 months.
