The potential tasks to be performed include, but are not limited to:
- Driving trucks
- Road and drainage maintenance
- Roadside fixtures and signage maintenance, repairs, and replacement
- Debris removal from roads
- Concrete repairs and reinstatement
- Pavement/pothole patching
- Civil and road construction work
- Traffic management around worksites
- Wire rope and guard rail installation
- Operate road infrastructure, mobile plant machinery and equipment
- Accident and emergency response
The following tickets are required and must be current:
- Truck License– MR, HR, MC or HC
- Traffic Control and Traffic Management
- Construction White Card
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination– 1st and 2nd dose + 1 Booster
- Vicroads Driver History Check
Other mandatory requirements:
- Availability and willingness to work 40 hours a week, Mon to Friday
- Availability to work overtime
- Good driving history
- Solid work record
- Excellent attitude towards work
Nice-to-have's:
- Ability to operate mobile plant machinery and equipment
- First-aid qualifications
Whilst this is a casual position, there is an expectation that this will be an ongoing role with opportunities for overtime.
Successful candidates will be subject to drug and alcohol pre-employment screening, as well as driving history and pre-employment medical checks.
