The pharmacy department provides clinical trials, outpatients and production unit services and is a leader in the deployment of novel and innovative models of clinical care. Rotations to Balmain Hospital are also possible providing candidates with management experience.
About the role
The opportunity exists for a Grade 1 or Grade 2 Pharmacist to join the dynamic Pharmacy Department at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. This role sits under the supervision of the Deputy Director of Pharmacy and is rotational between clinical and operational service areas of the department.
The Grade 1/2 Pharmacist is responsible for the provision of quality pharmaceutical services to inpatients and outpatients. Grade 1 and 2, rotate between the clinical & service area rosters. On clinical duties they provide pharmaceutical care to inpatients and in the service areas they provide pharmacy support to the dispensaries and production. Pharmacists, Grade 1 and 2, provide education and medicines information services to patients and other health care professionals and participate as active members of multi-disciplined teams.

We are looking for someone who has…
- Current Pharmacist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), or eligible for immediate registration, and able to practice independently. Grade 2 Pharmacists must meet the criteria set out in the Award and are expected to be able to demonstrate continual ability to meet three of the five competencies within the Award.

About working for SLHD

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.
