About the opportunity.
Join JLL today as our Part-Time Roving Operations Manager, providing support to a portfolio of shopping centres in NSW. You will be based in the JLL head office and on site at centres as needed. The role is 3 days per week and no day will be the same. If you love variety, being out and about, and are seeking exposure across a diverse client base, then this is the perfect chance to enhance your skills while also having the opportunity to balance your personal commitments on the other 2 weekdays.
Working alongside our Retail Engineering Manager and Portfolio Manager, you’ll provide operational support and coverage to various centres we manage in NSW and assist to ensure these assets are looked after, well-managed, and maintained to the highest standards.

- Partnering with clients and tenants
- Proactively engaging stakeholders to ensure all on site expectations are met and developing sound working relationships at all levels
- Management of facilities, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations on fire, health, and safety standards
- Risk management
- Recommending continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Ensuring the sites financial operations are meeting or exceeding targets
- Budgeting and reporting as required
- Contractor management
- Preventative maintenance
- Asset planning, Capex, fit outs
- Driving sustainability performance of the assets to ensure NABERS energy and water targets are achieved
Before you apply it’s worth knowing what we are looking for.
Most important will be superior personality traits – You must be a people person, as there will be lots of different stakeholders, tenants, and clients that you’ll interact with on a daily basis as well as our onsite teams.
A clear and proven understanding of WH&S and risk/ compliance management is a must have, along with related property, facilities management, or operations management experience in a retail/ shopping centre environment.
You’ll be able to empathise with tenant needs and prioritise in order to meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills will be critical to your success, and you can champion new and better ways of doing things ‘on the ground'.
