Job description

We are one of Australia's fastest-growing Value-Added IT Distributors (VAD), specialising in RTLS (Real-Time Location System), Wi-Fi, IoT (Internet of Things) and Communications technologies.Due to our continued expansion, we are looking for a proven leader in ICT Sales to join our team. We need a proven and trusted storyteller and sales leader to join our efforts steering a multi-disciplinary team in growing our RTLS and IoT business across the region. For this position, it's essential to be proactive, able to work both independently and collaboratively, and have a genuine interest in IT. The role involves collaborating with management and third parties, building relationships, understanding the needs of our clients and providing them with tailored solutions to help them achieve their operational effectiveness and efficiency goals.This role will be based in Queensland and will involve national travel as needed. Our company is lead by award-winning technologists and location experts so you will be in with the right crowd. Reporting to the CEO, you will shape the sales, provide vision, generate sales strategy, and drive value realisation of our RTLS and IoT product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with our leadership to align technology with our company's long-term objectives and projects. Stay informed about industry changes, ensuring we always have a strategic advantage.
- Actively drive the pursuit of new business, by identifying new opportunities and participating in proposal responses inclusive of compiling lists of prospective client businesses.
- Manage the relationship with internal stakeholders, customers, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the development and delivery of ICT Services.
- Engage with users, business units, and stakeholders to identify their needs, objectives, and challenges. Facilitate brainstorming sessions, workshops, and meetings to foster communication and ensure that all voices and concerns are heard.
- Liaise with enterprise service providers to obtain ICT Services and define and maintain service level agreements and contracts.
- Serve as the main point of technical contact for stakeholders for all post sales support, providing insights and expertise. Conduct training sessions or workshops to educate users on new systems or update where required.
- Continuously update knowledge on the latest technologies, tools, and practices in the industry. Attend seminars, webinars, and workshops to stay abreast of new advancements and bring innovative ideas to the team.
- Conduct regular competitor and market analysis and report market developments and emerging trends to the management to adapt our services and strategies accordingly.
- Achievement of sales targets, profitable growth and focus on new customers and new opportunities; Orders and margin above set quota in support of Annual Operating Plan whilst operating within company policy. Offer pricing quotes, negotiate terms and assist clients in completing contracts while maintaining thorough records of orders.- Prepare detailed sales reports and maintain accurate records of business expenses related to sales activities.
- Gather detailed and specific requirements from users and translate them into technical specifications. Document all aspects of a proposed solution for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Conduct in-person visits, where possible, to both existing and prospective clients to establish and capitalise on sales opportunities.
- Resolve any issues or concerns that may arise and maintain strong client relationships. - Continuously follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction with the services they have acquired from the company.
What You Need for this Position:
- Bachelor's Degree or Tertiary Qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, Product Management, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Demonstrated 3+ years' experience in working as a Sales Manager, Pre Sales Engineer, Technology Consultant or in a related role.
- Min. 3 + years RTLS (Real-Time Location System) experience within the Healthcare/ Industry 4.0/ Manufacturing or other sectors is a must.
- Tender and Sales Management experience
- Experience leading multiple life-cycles of both customer-facing and internal products, services, and offerings
- Experience working and contributing in a hands-on capacity within a team of technologists and engineers
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a keen focus on quality and user experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently when required.
- Familiarity with the latest technologies, tools, and platforms in the industry.
- Occasional travel (across Asia Pacific) required to assist clients “on-site” with solution design, positioning, and consulting
