The Technical / Team Lead - Coding and Quality Assurance leads the software development team responsible for building and maintaining the Clinical Coding suite of products.
The Clinical Coding suite of products consists of workflow, analysis and reporting components, each of which has an exciting roadmap of new features and improvements to benefit the community of thousands of users in the Health Information Management and data space, both in Australia and in a number of overseas markets. At the same time we are looking to improve the integration between these products, to unify them into a world-leading
integrated suite.
Role responsibilities:
- Leading the design and problem-solving approach to implementation of enhancements and new product features
- Establishing best practice in the team approach to managing the software development lifecycle
- Designing, implementing and maintaining a best practice CI/CD pipeline, coordinating with other technical teams and team members as required
- Making use of a contemporary devops approach to delivering software in development, test and production environments
- Some hands-on software prototyping, development and maintenance of the coding product suite
- Working with customer and IT support teams to manage Level 3 response and improve customer experience through ongoing technical improvement
- Working with customer and account management teams to improve customer onboarding experience
- Software & quality process improvement
- Liaising with Product Managers, Infrastructure, and Operations as required
- Act as a mentor for team members through both technical knowledge, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Work with the team in designing solutions and choosing technologies that solve the given problems while staying within constraints.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or IT, or equivalent
- 10+ years experience in test-driven, full-stack development using contemporary object-oriented programming languages
- 3+ years technical/Team Lead experience.
- 3+ years agile methodology experience, including team management of sprints and effective use of key agile ceremonies
- Excellent design, coding and documentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a technical vision with a focus on business value.
Demonstrated experience with: - Web technologies
- Database technologies
- Enterprise frameworks (e.g. Spring/Rails)
- DevOps/Cloud/AWS/Build and Release.
- Demonstrated experience in responsibility for release
