The team at ScaleUp has partnered with this business for a number of years and has seen them grow from humble beginnings to having a presence from all corners of the world.
Day to day, the team works on improving the performance and quality of their technology platform. You will be building new and better ways of alerting and reporting information to our users in our desktop & mobile apps, enhancing their infrastructure to be more automated and reliable as they scale.
On a day to day you will:
- Work with our engineering team to improve the existing platform and bring new features to life in our desktop/mobile/admin apps all the way from concept to deployment.
- Write efficient, maintainable and tested code that the rest of the team can rely on and refactor with confidence
- Evaluate and build upon multiple external APIs and services available
- Deploy every day
The team is made of talented people from all sorts of backgrounds and believes in using the best tools for the job.
They run their infrastructure in AWS/GCP clouds but also manage multiple physical servers monitoring technology across the country, aiming for the sweet spot between monolith and micro-services.
What your background looks like:
A passionate software engineer/developer with 3 - 6 years + of experience across the whole web stack, familiar with Rails (or eager to transfer skills from similar frameworks in different languages) & Javascript SPA's using Angular/React/Vue.
Interest in data science and natural language processing or DevOps is a bonus.
