Safety Administrator - Part Time Casual

Mobilize are seeking an experienced Part TimeSafety Administrator with one of our clients located in Malaga. 

Working alongside the WHS Co-Ordinator ensuring that all Safety Procedures on site are followed. 

This particular clients specialises within the mining operations handling Iron Ore, Gold, Copper, Lithium, Rare Earths and many other commodities.

This role is Part Time (3 Days Per Week, Flexible Working Hours). 

About the role:

• Review and data entry of accident/incident, hazard/near miss and QIR register entries – ensure accurate and complete entries that have sufficient detail and adequate focus on corrective and preventative actions
• Ensure that accident/incident, hazard/near miss and QIR entries are actioned and closed out, by all nominated action and signoff parties by due dates/promptly
• Coordinate accident/incident, hazard/near miss and QIR investigations where required, in conjuction with the Facilities Manager and Head of Corporate Services
• Maintain the MSDS/hazardous substance register – ensure new MSDS are entered onto the system and ensure expiring MSDS’s are reviewed for currency and updated accordingly
• Participate in scheduled workplace inspections, ensuring that resultant actions are records and enacted appropriately according to procedure and engaging the correct systems
• Conduct regular spot audits to ensure compliance with WHSEQ procedure – eg pre-starts, workplace inspections, corrective and preventative action implementation

Required skills & experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Drivers license
• Strong commitment towards safety
