Our Safety and Wellbeing team exists to ensure that our team members are empowered to thrive & deliver on business expectations safely. You will be part of a high performing team to support in influencing a strong safety culture across the business!
The opportunity based at our Ballarat Support Office...
- Develop, implement, and maintain WH&S systems, documentation, processes, and procedures.
- Ongoing auditing, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of overall WH&S performance
- Raising awareness within the business at all levels and being a leader of the Safety culture within the business
- Development of training (in conjunction with L&D department) and education programs
- Coordination and liaising with WH&S committees, HSR's and store Safety Superheroes to ensure ongoing commitment and output of the committees.
- Coordinate management of workplace incidents, near misses and injuries including investigations and corrective actions.
- Where required conduct store visits and complete ICAM investigations and auditing to ensure health and safety standards are observed.
- Oversee the following areas including but not limited to Chemical Management, DG, Asbestos & COR.
If you have the below experience we would love to hear from you!
- Previous experience in a similar Safety role within a retail environment
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Risk management principles, practices, relevant standards and guidelines, including Risk Assessment Processes and Risk Registers.
- Qualifications in WH&S desirable although not essential.
- A strong commitment, becoming an advocate in influencing and empowering our team members in a culture of safety, building strong relationships with all stakeholders.
- Ability to use initiative with a dynamic, innovative, positive and solution focused approach.
- Influencing skills, being able to take our team members on a journey of change all whilst being open, friendly, transparent and empathetic.
- Flexibility as there will be a need for occasional interstate travel and to our Business locations as required.
- Strong computer skills particularly in MS Office
- Outstanding organisational, time management and priority management skills.
