Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and forward-thinking Safety and Leadership Consultant to join our team in a newly created position. Reporting to the Human Resource Manager; the ideal candidate will play pivotal role in safety practices and Leadership effectiveness. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to strategic safety decisions and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and will advise, implement and evaluate strategies that enhance both safety protocols and Leadership capabilities within our business.
This role will be based primarily across our various sites with the need for Head Office visits from time to time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and work with the frontline leadership team to enhance capability and safety understanding
- Overall safety compliance throughout the business
- Development and implementation of policy and procedure
- Maintenance of Safety systems
- Maintenance of LMS systems
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to streamline safety operations
- Stay updated on changes in safety regulations and best practices
- ISO accreditation compliance
About you:
- Tertiary or Diploma qualification in Occupations Health and Safety (Essential)
- Proven experience as a Safety and/or Leadership Consultant
- Experience in the Mining industry will be highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of Safety principles, practices, and regulations
- Proficiency in safety software including INX and Moodle
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
