AddressOur company is a well known and highly respected construction company specialising in commercial and residential building. We have been experiencing steady growth over the last 12 months and are now looking for an experienced and qualified HSEQ Manager to join our management team.
With offices in North Western Sydney & Newcastle the company undertakes predominately government contracts throughout metropolitan & regional NSW necessitating occasional regional travel.
Overall Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, implementation of the company’s Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Monitor & advise across multiple projects and departments to meet the statutory & social requirements of the safety, quality and environment management systems
- Assist the site teams and project managers by identifying hazards & minimising risks, whilst creating, maintaining and improving the health, safety and environmental standards
- Experience with OFSC would be highly regarded.
Workplace Health & Safety
- Lead and support the provision of workplace health and safety processes within the business.
- Promote the value of occupational health at a site by site level
- Champion HSEQ initiatives in the workplace whilst ensuring that legislation is adhered to.
- Produce HSEQ statistics on a monthly basis, identify trends and take proactive initiatives.
- Produce and communicate safety alerts following incidents to promote learning and prevention
Consultation & Training
- Provide consistent and accurate HSEQ advice to employees
- Provide support to business units on HSEQ initiatives
- Provide support & Training on HSEQ issues/problems
Ideally, the successful candidate would have five (5) years experience in a similar role in construction along with the necessary qualifications and knowledge required to hit the ground running.
