As part of our growth, we now have an opportunity for a Safety and Property Risk Business Partner to join our team in Melbourne or Sydney.
About the opportunity
This role supports the Manager Safety and Property Risk to deliver the organisation’s Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Strategy. Property risk includes environmental compliance (excluding sustainability) and physical security risk.
The position is responsible for guiding, coordinating, delivering, and influencing Safety and Property Risk management programs and initiatives across the organisation, with a current focus on the work carried out by the Investment and Development team. This team focuses on property: transaction (acquisition and divestment), development and capital works, noting physical works are outsourced to trusted property partners.
The role provides broad Safety and Property Risk management support to the organisation and its property partners, including but not limited to overseeing and maintaining Safety and Property Risk management systems and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement; HSE Event management; and reporting.
About you
You bring a degree qualification with demonstrated experience in Safety and Property Risk ideally including development or construction experience.
You pride yourself on building relationships and partnering, and you are comfortable in a fast-moving environment.
You also preferably bring:
- Australian Institute of Health and Safety (AIHS) Certified OHS Professional or above.
- Prior experience leading safety-in-design processes.
- Experience interpreting and providing advice regarding contracts and agreements, and board reporting.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
