Bradnam’s Windows and Doors has a vacancy for a Safety and RTW Officer to join their team based in Kings Park. The key focus of this role is to implement the Bradnam Group, Health and Safety program to ensure worker Safety and adherence to Government Laws and Regulations, and Company or industry environmental, health and safety guidelines. Working in this role will also give you the opportunity to foster a safe workplace culture, promote employee wellness, and have an overall focus on reducing FAI’s, MTI and LTI’s. It’s an exciting time that will allow you to overlook EAP statistics, and health and safety data and trends, all whilst making a positive impact on the team.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure daily compliance with health and safety regulations, including those set by other authorities, such the NHVR.
- Conduct WHS compliance audits.
- Follow up to ensure the production team has actioned any corrective actions.
- Educate and oversee employees about health and safety procedures and regulations, usually as part of daily walk-throughs or spot-check safety audits.
- Track incidents and environmental information, updating data for reporting needs.
- Ensure all safety records and registers are up to date.
- Daily monitoring of key risks, such as hazardous chemicals, plant risk, and traffic management.
- Ensure accidents are investigated to determine the root cause, providing recommendations to eliminate future hazards or risks, and ensuring management follows through on recommendations.
- Work with Operational leaders to investigate accidents/injuries and provide preventative measures.
Monday to Friday | 38 hours per week
About you
- Cert IV or Diploma in Work, Health and Safety
- Certificate in Return To Work
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and HVNL
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders within the organisation
- Detail orientated with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
