About the Role:
As a Safety Coordinator, you will play a critical role in promoting and maintaining a safe work environment for all employees. You will work closely with management and staff to implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and practices. Additionally, you will conduct regular inspections, identify potential hazards, and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee safety policies and programs in line with regulatory standards.
- Work towards achieving Zero Harm by identifying risks, implementing controls, and promoting safety awareness.
- Assist in investigations, develop corrective action plans, and provide comprehensive safety training.
- Adhere to WHS legislation and manage safety records, ensuring compliance across the board.
- Foster a culture of safety through employee engagement, recognition programs, and regular communication.
Key Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a in a safety-related role preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Formal training in WHS (Cert 4 or ISO45001).
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
