Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is excited to announce a new vacancy for a Safety Coordinator to join our NSW Mining client. This is a permanent residential role to join a dedicated HST team 5/2 roster.
Your next role
As the Safety Coordinator, you will contribute to the ongoing success of a high-calibre mining operation. Additionally, you will work closely with operational and leadership teams to develop and implement safety measures.
- Develop and implement safety strategies, systems, and programs
- Conduct incident investigations, risk assessments, and deliver safety programs
- Promote a positive safety culture through communication and engagement
- Collaborate with operational leaders to improve safety
- Leading a team with one direct report, (Safety Officer)
- 3 years of Coal mining or heavy industry experience
- Qualifications in Work, Health, and Safety
- Proven understanding of the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations and the Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) guidelines.
- Proven comprehension of safety and risk management systems.
- Advanced computer skills
