Tasmanian Oyster Co (TOC for short) is committed to being the leader in sustainable oyster production, striving for best practice and continuous improvement in the management of the environment in which we operate.
We are currently looking for a Safety Manager to support all of our sites.
The role
The person in this role will look after our safety systems and processes, in a way that educates people and supports our culture and values. The role will work very closely with all employees, providing you with the opportunity to make a real impact on TOC’s safety culture and the working environments for our people.
You’ll get around to all our different sites across Tasmania, South Australia and New South Wales, and when you’re not out and about, you’ll be based at our Clifton Beach office.
About you
You’ll have solid safety experience and knowledge already, and you may either already be a Safety Manager or ready to take that step. What is important is that you have:
The ability to apply knowledge to operational situations and provide clear advice
The ability to comfortably engage with employees at an oyster farm or hatchery and build solid relationships
Super organisational skills, with the ability to balance your workload and the demands of multiple projects and sites
Excellent written communication skills
Technology literacy
An aptitude for data, analysis, research and learning
