Reporting to the Manager Risk and Change, the Safety Risk and Change Specialist is responsible for providing subject matter expertise in operational risk and change. In collaboration with the airlines business units, this role will also influence, advise, and provide support to Jetstar Leadership and Operations Managers to ensure consistent and effective risk and change management programs are in place and aligned with the airline’s safety strategy.

To be considered for this role, key skills will include:

  • Qualification in Safety and/or Risk Management is highly desirable
  • Knowledge in airlines operations ideally in areas with safety responsibilities
  • Experience in Safety Risk and Change Management processes and systems within an operational environment
  • Demonstrated ability and competency in managing and interpreting data and using business intelligence reporting systems
  • A creative approach to problem solving, with high level attention to detail
  • Exceptional written, verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to network, negotiate and work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently, under pressure and to meet deadlines
