The Safety Systems Managerprovides support and leadership to the Endeavour Group Safety, Health & Wellbeing team to drive continuous ownership, improvement and empowerment of the State and Store teams to manage internal Health and Safety compliance across all disciplines.  

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Lead the development, monitoring and review of the National Safety Strategy and work with State teams to implement
• In collaboration with the Heads of Health, Safety and Wellbeing, identify risks and assist with the development of strategies to mitigate risk
• Engage State teams by coaching & training to deliver a safe environment for team members, customers, contractors and visitors
• Manage relationships with stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure regulatory and legislative compliance
• Manage compliance of notifiable Incidents/dangerous occurrences (serious incidents and improvement notices)
• Coordinate and manage the self insurance audit preparation, taking accountability in closing out action plans
• Review and maintain a Safety Management System, including identification of areas for improvement
• Manage and oversee the Endeavour Group audit process and outcomes including the monitoring and escalation of corrective actions
• Complete data analysis to assist in identifying trends and to implement proactive initiatives to prevent injuries and continuous improvement
• Update and maintain the Endeavour Group Risk Profile including the review and update of risk assessments
• Develop, monitor and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) across all brands and maintain currency and compliance
• Monitor legislative change for all regions and conduct a review of the Safety Management System to ensure continued compliance

Qualifications

Now let’s talk about you: 

• Diploma qualified in WH&S as a minimum.
• Experience in meeting ISO 45001 health and safety management standard.
• Experience managing and influencing stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Working knowledge of legislation relevant to Safety & Health.
• Strong knowledge and experience using Google suites, or similar. 
• Experience and knowledge of strategic problem solving and frameworks, project and change management.
• Strong facilitation and analytical skills.
• Leadership and coaching experience.
• Understanding of Due Diligence requirements.
• General retail commercial awareness.
• Experience in multi-site operations is desirable.
