Role Responsibilities
Working within the motivated Industry Expertise Team, the Safety Trainer & Instructional Designer is accountable for designing, building, delivering and continuously improving our Product training for Employees, Clients and Partners.
The Academy is structured as a layered model with standardised core content to enable consistency and scalability. The training packages include different levels of training with a focus on “train the trainer” and “train the coach” courses.
This role requires you to:
- Develop effective online training material, including videos, self-paced online modules, and instructor-led courses.
- Learn new Forwood products and solutions as they become available.
- Conduct face to face training with clients.
- Develop standardised, scalable and repeatable eLearning modules.
- Collaborate with people across the business to collect and consolidate content from SMEs to support client and partner training requirements.
- Seek advice and support to create original and unique content for the industry.

As our Safety Trainer and instructional Designer, you will have 3+ years of experience in a similar role. To be successful in this role, you will need to show:
- Safety-related industry experience (highly regarded).
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment (essential).
- Skilled in using professional English for effective writing and communication (essential).Relevant tertiary qualifications in either safety or adult education (desirable).
- Previous experience developing online training materials.
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of customer-facing training.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team providing regular updates.
- Ability to contribute to and design key concept material, business process documentation and detailed training material in safety performance improvement.
- Ability to build relationships with a large variety of stakeholders.
- Excellent technical writing ability and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced, agile environment.
- Confident in working from a home office environment with a globally diverse team.
- Critical thinking, problem-solving and an innovative approach.
