IPA are recruiting for an exciting new role for our client for someone to join their Rockhampton team as a Sales and Merchandising Representative.
The position will be a Permanent role, working approximately 35 hours per week. There is some flexibility to work out a 9 day fortnight as well as some flexibility of structuring your start and finish times.
The position is available to start immediately for the right person.

Our client is a small family-owned business specialising in selling and Merchandising. They pride themselves on strong customer relationships and market expertise. They are a busy and successful business and the position of Sales and Merchandising Representative is integral to their success.
Experience not required! Never been in an account management or sales/customer based role before? Full training and mentoring is provided. What we are looking for more than anything else is the right engaging personality with the ability to build lasting relationships with the customers.
Our client relies on a true partnership with their customers, so the relationship building piece is essential.
Role Summary:
Plan and carry out all sales activities on assigned accounts or areas. Ensure customer satisfaction and manage the quality of product and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate and qualify leads; source and develop client referrals.
- Schedule sales activities and maintain a customer database.
- Develop and maintain Sales and promotional materials.
- Conduct direct marketing activities and make sales calls to new and existing clients.
- Develop and present sales proposals and contracts.
- Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships.
- Merchandise stores and set up displays.
- Guide customers on market trends and product displays.
- Manage customer expectations and maintain a high standard of product and service delivery.
- Conduct market research and monitor competitors.
- Travel to regional areas, including an overnight stay every fortnight.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to engage and liaise with customers effectively.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Outlook.
- CA license minimum.
- Experience in merchandising or supermarket sales preferred - not essential.
Additional Information:

Training will be provided on our sales program and product knowledge.
