This Sales and Support Technician role sits within the Distribute Energy Team and will support AGL in supplying high quality, proven products to its customers, and investigating rapid resolution of technical issues, customer complaints and orchestration testing.
The Distributed Energy Team is responsible for expending AGLs offerings in the behind the meter market, including solar, energy storage systems and EVs.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing and executing testing processes to determine the performance specifications or functional requirements for new products and testing methods according to related industry standards and AGL internal requirements.
- Validating general operation and remote-control functionality for domestic inverters, energy storage systems and EV chargers.
- Identifying and planning the testing equipment requirements, including the cost plan and documentation of modifications, regarding new product introduction.
- Documenting and reporting installation related issues in field based operations and assisting in the development of installation methodologies for new products, including improvement of the existing installation methodologies.
- Actively focussing on continuous improvement of occupational health and safety conditions within the lab and participating in Technical Risk Assessment activities (e.g. DFMEAs & PFMEAs) and continuous improvement activities.
What you'll bring:
- Qualification in Cert III - Systems Electrical or equivalent (A-Grade) coupled with experience in a broad range of Distributed Energy Resource hardware (solar inverters, EV chargers, energy storage devices) and electrician background preferred.
- Experience in new product introduction environments and employing statistical tools to draw insights from test data.
- Innovative problem-solving skills and a demonstrated willingness to proactively search for new solutions.
- Ability to accomplish technical tasks while working independently as well as in a team environment.
- Demonstrated skills in time management, prioritisation and the ability to communicate to all stakeholders internal and external at all levels.
