Drake Trades and Technical is excited to support a valuable client in their search for a dedicated Sales & Technical Specialist. This dynamic and high-paced role is pivotal in managing and developing relationships with clients who purchase plasterboard liner paper from our estimed client. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring product compliance, addressing quality issues, and driving sales growth through innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Management: Establish and maintain positive customer relationships, ensuring delivery of positive outcomes for all stakeholders.
- Technical Support: Provide competent and professional technical service and support to customers.
- Quality Management: Identify and address issues such as marks or damage that may affect product compliance. Investigate and resolve customer quality issues promptly.
- Sales Achievement: Achieve and exceed budgeted sales volumes, develop new products to increase sales, margin, and market offering.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams (administration, production, finance, operations planning and logistics) and external stakeholders (customers, suppliers, service providers) to resolve complaints, find solutions, and share data.
- Cost Management: Maintain focus on cost minimisation, supply chain efficiencies, and inventory management.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with OHS&E policies at all locations.
- Presentations: Ability to present to various stakeholders in different forums on the company's offerings.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of sales experience within the paper, plasterboard, packaging, or similar industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of plasterboard liner paper and related products.
- Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and develop new products.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Organisational Skills: High level of organisational, time management, and prioritising skills. Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: Degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business.
- Technical Proficiency: Competent in MS Office, Google Suite, and SAP.
